Abstracts of Individual Indian Monies, January 31, 1912–December 31, 1947

1912-1947

This series consists of quarterly and monthly abstracts of Individual Indian Money accounts of pupils and Indian Emergency Conservation Work (IECW) and Civilian Conservation Corps - Indian Division (CCC-ID) enrollees administered by the Pierre Indian School Special Disbursing Agent. The reports submitted on standard form 5-284, Schedule and Voucher for Individual Pupil Money, for the period 1912-18, and form 5-321, Abstract of Individual Indian Moneys and Special Deposits, for the period 1919-49, were required quarterly thru March 1927, after which they were prepared monthly. The abstracts list for each amount the name of the depositor, sources of funds (voluntary contributions or transfers from other units), banks on which payments were drawn, beginning and ending balances, and receipts and disbursements. A summary of the total receipts and disbursements made by the agent during the period and a certification of accuracy are included with most reports.
